how do i copy drive e

​i have deleated my drive e factory image ftles.my dad has the exact same laptop so how can i transfer the drive e 10gb folder from his to myn.my dad wont let me play around so iv come on hear to see if it can be done without damadging my dads drive e. dell cant help so this is my last hope please help​

Sorry, it's not possible to recreate the image file. You will have to reinstall from the OS disk. Or post the problem you are trying to solve here and maybe someone can help. Have you tried System Restore to go back a few days or weeks? Directions for restoring or reinstalling are here.

Hi, If you have deleated the partation, then as Mary said you will have to use your reinstall disc to reinstall your OP. However, if you have deleted the files inside your partation, and the partation is still there, then you can copy over the files.

i did a full disc install and it has deleated the files in drive e,i have still got drive e but its now empty. is it posable to copy my dads on his laptop as we have the same one.iv tried to recover them with little sucsess

how do i go about coppying them off my dads laptop.is it posible to to doit with a usb cable or is it more complex. thanks

thanks verry much guys and lady,i wish dell was as helpfull i must have spent 5 hours on phone to india,THAY ARE A COMPLEAT WAST OF TIME!. THAY SAID ITS IMPOSSABLE FOR THEM TO RESTORE FACTORY IMAGE. I SAID ID PAY AND SEND IT TO WERE EVER IT NEEDED TO GO BUT THAY SAID NO THAY CANT DOIT.  NOW MEDION CAN DOIT CUS THAY DID MY OLD ONE SO IT MAKES YOU WONDER WY DELL CANT DOIT, THE BEST LAPTOP SERVICE IN THE WHOLE WORLD.....I DONT THINK SO. DELL CUSTUMER SERVICE IS CRUDDY NOW THAT THE CHEAP SCATES MAKE YOU PHONE INDIA.
